7D6N Uncovered Brunei Birding

On this journey we take from minimum 1 birder (ONE) to a maximum of 10 birders (TEN) per trip to ensure that everyone's needs and interests can be met at the same time minimize the environment impact.

TENTATIVE PROGRAMME

D1           arriving Brunei Darussalam – Welcome dinner

• Meet, greet and welcome at Brunei International Airport
• Check – in to Hotel in the capital city (standard room with high speed internet)
• Welcome Dinner by the riverside food stole – BBQ beef/chicken Satay, fried rice and food of choice
• Going through the programmed

D2           Lowland forest birding

• Low land forest birding 
• 2:00pm watching or photographing birds bathing from the hide (Depending on the weather)
• 4pm  - 6pm birding at the campsite – Munias, sparrows, spiderhunters, sunbirds, flowerpeckers, flycatcher, bulbuls, pacific swallow, drongos, kingfisher, whiskered treeswift and many more
• Write or check listing
• Night birding for nocturnal birds through the natural riverside trail
• Overnight at Forest Nature Camp - simple mattress bed, clean bed sheet, pillow with clean case, clean blanket and mosquito net.
• Generator is to light up the camp and recharge camera battery. Will be switch off when bed time.

D3           Lowland forest birding

• 6:00am more forest birding - Trogons, Barbets, woodepeckers, Green Broadbill, Giant Pittas, leafbird, drongos, mynas, and other birds
• Crested Fireback, Roulroul partridge and other wildlife from 2pm – 5pm at the forest natural hideout
• Write or check listing
• More nocturnal forest birding
• Overnight at Forest Nature Camp - simple mattress bed, clean bed sheet, pillow with clean case, clean blanket and mosquito net.

D4           Peat Swamp birding

• 6:00am rainforest birding
• Transfer to Peat Swamp Nature Campsite
• Afternoon birding by boat 
• Write or check listing
• Peat Swamp Night birding by boat – owls, night heron, and others
• Overnight at Peat Swamp Nature Camp - simple mattress bed, bed sheet, mosquito net, pillow with case, and blanket.
• Generator is to light up the camp and recharge camera battery. Will be switch off when bed time.

D5           Peat Swamp Birding

• 6:00hrs peat swamp birding by boat – Black red broadbill, kingfisher, wood pecker, Hornbills, flycatchers, parakeet and more
• Birding by boat at the hide
• Write or check listing
• Night birding Malaysian Eared Nightjar, Gould’s Frogmouth, and other
• Discuss next day birding schedule

D6           Mangrove Birding

• 6:00hours peat swamp birding by boat
• Transfer to hotel in the capital
• 16:00hours Mangrove Birding by boat – egrets, Kingfisher, fish eagles and more
• Breeding ground of the night herons - Japanese Night Heron, Malaysian Night Heron, Rufous Night Heron, Black – crowned Night Heron, Chinese pond heron, striated heron, Javan Pond heron and more  
• Fare well buffet dinner at the river side restaurant

D7           Airport – End of 7D6N Uncovered Brunei Birding

• Breakfast
• Check – out
• Transfer to airport – End of  7D6N Uncovered Brunei Birding
