Explore the wealth and uniqueness of Brunei’s great biodiversity in lowland rainforest. The natural trails are easy to walk through.

Brunei’s tropical climate and year-round warm weather means that the country produces a wide spectrum of fruits and vegetables unique to Southeast Asia. Orchards and backyard gardens produce a wide range of seasonal and non-seasonal tropical fruits. But have you tried going in the wild forest seeing various kinds of fruits, plants and herbs that are either familiar or unfamiliar to you?

Without knowing the right fruits, plants and herbs is crucial before consuming it. Some plants, fruits and herbs are highly toxic and dangerous to human.

In this tour you will be given some sample on which of the things that you should and shouldn’t eat. Be aware that some wild fruit really look nice, delicious, smells good, and tempting but could end up fatal if consumed.

Wild fruit is always available in our rainforest where by each plant or fruit tree is flowering and fruiting in different month.

Discover how some plants get their nutrients especially the place they grow are non nutrient soil. How individual plants, fruits, insects are traditionally used by difference ethnic group in Brunei. Like traditional herbs, medicine plants to heel or prevent some decease, sickness, and even anti venom.

What to wear or bring:
  • Wear casual clothes that is comfortable for going in the forest
  • Wear hat or sunblock for skin protection
  • Bring rain coat in case of rain
  • Bring insect repellent (although Brunei is free from Malaria)
  • Bring camera and binoculars for a great viewing
